DENVER—A 41-year-old man is scheduled for sentencing in January after a Denver jury convicted him of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman in 1996.
Jurors deliberated less than two hours Monday before finding Wayne Glasser guilty of first-degree sexual assault with force, first-degree sexual assault with threats and second-degree kidnapping.
Prosecutors say Glasser pulled a 25-year-old woman into his van as she walked home from work, then drove to an alley and raped her at gunpoint. Cold-case detectives linked Glasser to the case through DNA evidence.
Defense attorney Neil Silver suggested Glasser’s sexual contact with the woman was consensual.
Glasser is already in prison serving 17 1/2 years on unrelated charges.
Sentencing has been set for Jan. 20.
