GLENWOOD SPRINGS — Two elk hunting brothers caught in a snowstorm north of Glenwood Springs made their way out of the mountains four days after rescuers began searching for them.

Charles Michael Boso III, 43, of Michigan and William Mark Boso, 32, of Kentucky called family members Tuesday evening and said they were exhausted from digging out of deep snow but were doing well, said Sgt. Pat Darrow of the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office.

He said the men were scheduled to complete their hunting trip Friday. Family members called officials Saturday and a search began that afternoon, Darrow said.
