A young man was killed Monday night, shot by someone in a passing car as the victim walked with two friends.
The fatal drive-by happened at about 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of South Decatur Street and West Iliff Avenue, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver police spokesman.
The 21-year-old victim was taken to Denver Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Jackson said. He was not identified by police.
Investigators are talking with the victim’s two friends hoping to develop leads in the case, Jackson said.
Police have not released any information on the suspects or on the motive in the shooting.
