Clarence Greenwood, aka Citizen Cope, was drinking the hard stuff — straight honey — at his Wednesday show at the Fox Theatre in Boulder. Photos by Nathan D. Rist.
You know the kinda shows where everybody — and we mean everybody — is singing along with the artist? That’s what went down Wednesday night at the Fox Theatre when brought the house down in front of a packed, mostly female crowd.
Unforuntately Citizen Cope frontman Clarence Greenwood was sick with a sore throat, but he soldiered through the show with the help of a glass of straight honey that sat next to him. He joked that when he sounded even worse later in the tour, he would tell those audiences to “blame it on Boulder.”
Here’s Reverb photographer Nathan D. Rist’s photo essay on the evening.
