Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey’s office is conducting a criminal investigation into allegations raised by an audit of Denver International Airport’s snow removal program.
The 11-page audit by Denver Auditor Dennis Gallagher’s office was released to the public last month. It found that employees who signed up for the snow-removal program “willfully violated” rules and policies and wrongly corrected overtime pay.
Morrissey’s spokeswoman, Lynn Kimbrough, said investigators in Morrissey’s office will conduct the probe.
Airport officials have said there were shortcomings in the program but have said they don’t believe workers engaged in intentional fraud.
