CHADRON, Neb.—Forget that Chadron State has dominated Wayne State the last two times the teams met. Chadron coach Bill O’Boyle says the Wayne team the Eagles will face Saturday in the NCAA Division II playoffs is nothing like the one Chadron beat 55-14 in the 2007 season opener.

The game matches two of the top defenses in the nation, with both giving up fewer than 20 points a game.

Wayne’s defense is led by defensive end Troy Pribnow, a pro prospect who led the Northern Sun Conference in sacks. Middle linebacker Ryan Reeves is one of the nation’s top tacklers, averaging about 10 a game. Strong safety Matt Greenway has proved to be a stopper on the run and pass.

The Wildcats will face the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference offensive player of the year in quarterback Joe McLain, who’s 37-4 as a starter.
