VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Rescue officials say seven people have been killed in a plane crash off the coast of British Columbia and one man has survived.

The Joint Rescue Coordination Center in Victoria confirms seven of the eight people on board the Pacific Coastal Airlines plane have been found dead.

The center’s Lt. Margeurite Dodds-Lepinski says the sole survivor walked away from crash and was found by the Canadian Coast Guard on the beach of Thormanby Island.
