Costly penalties:
Denver’s defense twice was called offside — against Dewayne Robertson and Jarvis Moss — and each penalty helped extend touchdown drives by Atlanta.
More RB injuries:
Tailbacks Peyton Hillis (shoulder) and P.J. Pope (ribs) both had X-rays after the game. If their injuries turn out to be serious, Denver might need to have more guys play both ways, a la Larsen.
