The Denver City Council approved on a 10-2 vote a new ordinance that will allow property owners to have two honeybee hives per zone lot. More than a dozen people expressed support during a public hearing Monday night. The city has outlawed hives in residential areas in the past and required those who want hives to petition the zoning code administrator for an exemption.
