The welcomed and openers on Thursday, Nov. 13 for an unusually theatrical show, with Clare and the Reasons (minus Clare) later backing MBD’s singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Shara Worden.
The New York-bred MBD is known for combining opera, cabaret, experimental music, chamber music and rock at its intimate shows. So how intimate was it? “There was actual seating set up for the audience (a first for me at Larimer),” says Reverb contributing photographer . “Great sound, and MBD was very theatrical in her performance, adding storytelling, magic tricks and a puppet show to her melodies.” Check out Lucia’s photo essay below. –John Wenzel
