COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police said a good description and unspecified clues led them quickly to a man suspected of robbing a bank today.

Police said Chad Hamlin, 42, of Colorado Springs passed a note to a teller demanding cash at the Air Academy Credit Union on North Nevada Avenue this morning.

The robber never showed a weapon or implied he had one, tellers told investigators.

Officers arrested Hamlin at a home in 3000 block of North Institute Street, where evidence from the bank was recovered, police said.
