FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Fort Collins police are asking for the public’s help in solving a string of break-ins at local churches.

Authorities say a dozen churches in Fort Collins have been burglarized since September.

Police say the crimes happened late at night or early in the morning, and the suspects took cash and/or food after getting in through a door or window.

The most recent burglary happened early Tuesday. No one has seen the burglars, and no injuries have been reported.

Police say the burglaries don’t appear to be hate crimes, and the religious denominations of the churches are varied.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Collins police at 970-416-2392 or Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868. Tips also can be reported on the Crime Stoppers’ Web site, .
