DENVER—Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, in line to become secretary of Health and Human Services, will be in Denver next month for a health-care reform conference.
Daschle is scheduled to appear at the 2008 Colorado Health Care Summit in Denver on Dec. 5. The conference is sponsored by Sen. Ken Salazar, D-Colo.
Democratic officials said Wednesday that Daschle has accepted President-elect Barack Obama’s offer to be health and human services secretary. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss the matter publicly.
