COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A prominent surgeon has been found stabbed to death at his Colorado Springs home, apparently at the hands of his own son.
Police say 63-year-old Dr. Edward Fitzgerald was killed Thursday in a clash with his son, 36-year-old Sean Fitzgerald. The younger Fitzgerald has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.
No motive has been released.
The victim was an orthopedic surgeon who once led the El Paso County Medical Society. An autopsy is pending.
