BRIGHTON, Colo.—Brighton police say they’re investigating the death of a 32-year-old woman as a homicide.
The body of Tanya Ealey was discovered Thursday night at a Brighton residence. The Adams County coroner’s office says she died from asphyxiation caused by blunt trauma to the neck.
Ealey was last seen leaving her job in Wheat Ridge Monday evening with her boyfriend, 28-year-old Nicky Allen Martinez. She was reported missing two days later.
Brighton police spokesman John Bradley says authorities are seeking Martinez for questioning as “a person of interest” in the case.
Martinez is 5-foot-9 and weighs about 200 pounds. He has black hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Detective Ron Rodriguez at 303-655-2332 or 303-655-2300.
