AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—Junior Salters’ career-high 28 points led Wofford to a 74-61 victory over Air Force in the finale of the Reggie Minton Air Force Classic on Sunday.
Salters, who was named the tournament’s MVP, was 7-of-9 on 3-pointers.
The Falcons (3-1) led by nine points with 2:34 left in the first half before Wofford tied it up at 29 at halftime. The Terriers (2-2) used a 13-0 spurt early in the second half to grab control. Noah Dahlman scored seven of his 12 points during the decisive run that put Wofford ahead 44-33.
Air Force got no closer than nine after that and trailed by as many as 20.
Grant Parker’s 15 points led the Falcons, and Matt Holland added 13.
