A New York woman accused of assaulting JetBlue airline employees during a flight this past summer pleaded guilty Tuesday to interfering with a flight crew.

Christina Elizabeth Szele, 35, appeared in court in Denver to change her plea after prosecutors dropped two assault charges. Szele’s behavior forced the pilot to divert the June 17 flight to Denver International Airport from its intended route of New York to San Francisco.

Szele will be sentenced Feb. 5 and faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Felisa Cardona, The Denver Post
