AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—Greg Flynn had two assists, and four of his teammates scored one goal each as Air Force downed rival Colorado College 4-1 Friday night.
Andrew Volkening stopped 28 shots in goal for Air Force (13-0-0), which remains the only undefeated and untied team in the nation.
The Falcons had not beaten Colorado College since Nov. 9, 1985, going 0-29-1 in the rivalry since then.
Air Force entered the contest with the nation’s top two scorers—Jacques Lamoureux and Brent Olson—but didn’t get a point from either of them. Instead, it was nine of their teammates with points in the win, and Flynn was the only Falcon with more than one point.
Paul Weisgarber, Josh Frider, Mike Phillipich and Brett Nylander each scored one goal for Air Force, while Matt Fairchild, Sean Bertsch, Derrick Burnett and Scott Mathis each had one assist.
Bill Sweatt scored Colorado College’s lone goal.
Eric Walsky and Ryan Lowery recorded one assist each for the Tigers, which dropped to 8-4-3.
