Lafayette police are investigating a sexual-assault report by a 21-year-old woman who said someone slipped a drug in her drink at a Boulder bar that made her black out.

The Boulder woman told police that a stranger offered her a drink while she and some friends were at the Round Midnight bar at 1005 Pearl St.

Minutes later, she blacked out and now fears the man, whom she did not know, may have slipped a drug in the drink, said Lafayette Cmdr. Mark Battersby.

The woman reported that she work up naked Thursday morning at a home near Lafayette with condoms on the floor. She told police she did not know the man in the house, nor how she got there. She added that he was not the same man as the one who gave her the drink at the bar.

The man said she had to leave and immediately drove her to a friend’s house. She was checked at Boulder Community Hospital.

Battersby said detectives are still awaiting the results of forensic exams to determine what type of drug she may have ingested.

He added that the woman, who takes college classes in Boulder, said the last thing she remembered from that night was driving east on South Boulder Road, toward Lafayette.
