STERLING, Colo.—Logan County commissioners have backed the construction of a wind farm with over 60 wind turbines.
The wind farm would be built by Colorado Highlands Wind near the town of Fleming in northeastern Colorado.
A development agreement approved by the commissioners on Tuesday waives setback requirements for the turbines. That will allow the company to place the turbines in the best places to catch the wind.
Colorado Highlands Winds plans to install up to 67 turbines on the site.
