A 39-year-old Highlands Ranch man apparently died after a crash on E-470 early Saturday morning but was later revived at a local hospital.

Douglas Schaben had no vital signs, but paramedics decided to transport him to Littleton Adventist Hospital, where he was revived.

“From some reason, they made a decision to transport him, and he came back,” said Colorado State Trooper David Hall.

Schaben was driving north on E-470 near Gartrell Road when he ran off the right side of the roadway, and his vehicle struck a post and rolled over twice, Hall said. Schaben was ejected from the driver’s side window. He was listed in critical condition.
