A Denver man was in critical condition Saturday night at Denver Health Medical Center after being beaten and stabbed in the chest at Colfax Avenue and Pearl Street.
A suspect was in police custody but also undergoing surgery for injuries he sustained in the confrontation, a Denver police dispatcher said.
The assault happened about 8:26 p.m. There was no information available about the connection between the victim and alleged assailant.
