HUDSON, Colo.—Foggy conditions and icy roads are blamed for a fatal rollover accident that killed a Greeley woman northeast of Denver.

The Colorado State Patrol says 50-year-old Melanie Specht westbound on Interstate 76 near Hudson when she went over an icy spot, causing her pickup to go into the median before rolling at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday. The patrol says the pickup ended on the eastbound side of the highway before rolling again.

Specht was thrown from her truck and died at the scene. The patrol says she wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

The patrol says weather conditions played a role in the accident, but not drugs or alcohol.
