KALISPELL, Mont.—A Montana bank holding company, Glacier Bancorp Inc., says it has completed its acquisition of Bank of the San Juans, a community bank based in Durango, Colo.

The acquisition, completed Monday, marks Glacier’s first entry into Colorado.

Bank of the San Juans has two offices in Durango and one in Pagosa Springs, Colo. As of Sept. 30, it had assets of $146 million.

Bank of the San Juans will operate as a separately chartered community banking subsidiary of Glacier.

Kalispell-based Glacier is a regional bank holding company with 10 subsidiaries in 53 communities in Montana, Idaho, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

As of Sept. 30, Glacier had total assets of $5.2 billion.
