Former Sunday Day Real Estate and the Fire Theft frontman was in good company at his stripped-down set on Sunday, Nov. 23. Nathan Meese (of Denver pop-rockers ) and (of Denver’s ) opened in similarly solos-acoustic mode, setting an appropriate tone for the evening.

Unfortunately, the Larimer had just painted its floor a few hours earlier, so the overwhelming odor of drying paint also set a tone — a mildly sickening one. Reverb contributor braved the lightheaded crowd to deliver the following photo essay, which you can check out below.
