Getting your player ready...
LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska place-kicker Alex Henery is the Big 12’s special teams player of the week after kicking a school-record 57-yard field goal to beat Colorado.
Henery’s field goal with 1:43 left Friday produced the go-ahead points in a 40-31 victory and was the longest by a Cornhusker kicker since Chris Drennan’s 55-yarder against Northern Illinois in 1989.
Henery kicked three other field goals against Colorado. The sophomore from Omaha also converted all four of his point-after-touchdown attempts.
