DES MOINES, Iowa—The Powerball jackpot is expected to grow to an estimated $30 million for Saturday since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
The winning numbers on Wednesday were 16, 17, 21, 25 and 55. The Powerball was 3 and the Power Play number was 5.
Two tickets, sold in New Mexico and Missouri, matched the first five numbers only to win $200,000 each.
The top prize in Colorado was $50,000 for a Power Play ticket that matched the Powerball and four of the other numbers, Colorado Lottery officials said.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
