COSTILLA COUNTY — The crash of two pickups in Costilla County killed three people Thursday morning, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Troopers said a Dodge Ram pickup broadsided a Ford F-350 pickup on County Road KK-7 at Aspen Street, north of the town of Blanca.
The driver of the Ford, 63-year-old Richard Karp of Blanca, and a passenger in the Dodge, 81-year-old Rosa Thompson of Blanca, were killed on impact. The driver of the Dodge, 88-year-old Arthur Thompson of Blanca, was rushed to San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa, where he died.
