GREELEY, Colo.—Relatives of a man who was shot to death say they are upset police are recommending menacing charges against the suspect but not murder.

The family of 23-year-old Anthony DeSantiago say it’s outrageous that Greeley police aren’t seeking at least a manslaughter charge against 20-year-old Brady Sanchez.

Sanchez has been named a suspect in the Nov. 8 shooting but police have not found him.

Police spokesman Sgt. Joe Tymkowych says the recommended charges could change if more information surfaces.

Police say the shooting happened after a struggle inside a car.
