A cold front was expected to bring a strong chance of snow in the metro area by this morning, according to the National Weather Service office in Boulder.
Most of the Front Range was given a 70 percent chance of snowfall overnight, with an accumulation of about an inch.
The heaviest lower-altitude accumulations, up to about 3 inches, are expected south of the metro area. The metro area has a 20 percent chance of snow Tuesday morning, but skies are expected to clear in the afternoon. The high Tuesday is expected to be 32 degrees.
