A dot of food coloring quickly tossed with shredded coconut makes colored bears. Makes about 24 bears, depending on the size of your bear-shaped cookie cutter.

Ingredients

1    batch All-in-One cookie dough (see cover)

1    cup shredded, sweetened coconut, lightly toasted on a cookie sheet in a 300-degree oven for 6 minutes and crumbled fine

2    cups powdered sugar

2    tablespoons whole milk

More coconut, toasted or untoasted, for fur

Directions

Make dough, adding toasted coconut to mixture with the flour. Chill for at least one hour.

Preheat oven to 350. Roll out dough to 1/4- inch thickness. Cut out bears (or other shapes) and bake on a parchment-lined cookie sheet for 13-15 minutes. Cool completely.

Meanwhile, stir together powdered sugar and whole milk to create a quick frosting. Sprinkle coconut onto a plate. Working on one bear at a time, slather frosting across bear, then invert into coconut, pressing gently so coconut adheres to the bear.
