Two men were shot in a Colorado Springs apartment complex last night, and one of them is in critical condition and undergoing surgery for a bullet in the chest.
Police are following up on leads to a possible suspect.
Neither man was identified. Police said both are in their early 20s. The shootings occurred about 7 p.m. at 2157 Delta Drive, a building in the Whitney Young Manor Apartment complex.
One man was shot in the leg and taken to Memorial Central Hospital by private vehicle. His wounds are not life-threatening.
The second man also was taken to Memorial Central.
Officers from the Community Impact Team and detectives from the Violent Crimes Section/Homicide Unit responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
