ARVADA, Colo.—Arvada city officials have unveiled a memorial to the victims of a shooting at a missionary school one year ago Tuesday.

A black marble plaque unveiled late Monday bears etched portraits of 26-year-old Tiffany Johnson and 24-year-old Philip Crouse, who were shot and killed last Dec. 9 by Matthew Murray at the Youth with a Mission center. Two other people were wounded.

Johnson’s mother Diane Jacobson, 52, of Hibbing, Minn., attended the unveiling of the plaque.

Hours after the Arvada slayings, Murray shot and killed sisters Rachel Works, 16, and Stephanie Works, 18, outside New Life Church in Colorado Springs. Murray then took his own life.

New Life will dedicate a memorial to those victims on Tuesday.
