COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a Colorado Springs security guard.

Police said this week that the boy was arrested Friday and taken to the Spring Creek Youth Services Center in Colorado Springs.

He is suspected of stabbing 47-year-old Gerry Gozar several times in a downtown Colorado Springs parking garage Nov. 28 after Gozar confronted a teen attempting to break into the security guard’s vehicle.

Gozar was treated and released from a hospital.

The boy was taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree assault.

His name has not been released.
