Traffic at Denver International Airport was essentially flat in October, but the 0.1 percent dip was enough to break the airport’s 21-month string of monthly increases.
The 4.2 million passengers who used the airport in October were about 2,800 fewer than the number in October 2007. Denver Aviation Manager Kim Day said Wednesday that Denver did better than other airports, which reported double-digit declines in October.
DIA officials still expect at least 50 million passengers to have traveled through the airport for 2008, topping the record set last year of 49.8 million passengers.
