The Colorado State Board of Education has approved a plan to cut soda and other sugary drinks from school vending machines and cafeterias as of July 1, or when a school completes its contract with a distributor. High school students will still be allowed to buy low-calorie sport drinks under the regulations approved unanimously Wednesday.
