AUSTIN, Texas — The governor of Texas has become the latest in a string of state chief executives who have received suspicious packages in the mail.
Gov. Rick Perry’s staff said they received an envelope Wednesday. Officials say the envelope contained a white powder that was determined not to be toxic.
Envelopes containing suspicious powder have been received this week by governor’s offices in Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma and Rhode Island.
