A collegiate wrestler injured in a traffic accident near the Colorado and Wyoming border has been released from a northern Colorado hospital.

John Pursley of Brush, a Chadron State College wrestler, was discharged today from the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, the hospital said in a press release.

Pursley and five others members of Chadron’s wrestling team were injured Dec. 3 in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 just south of the state line.

Pursley, a college junior, was the last to be released from the hospital. He was the lone Coloradan injured in the crash.

The team was in a nine-passenger Ford Excursion van on its way to Denver International Airport to catch a flight to Las Vegas for a weekend tournament when the accident happened on a stretch of highway that was wet with snow.
