SIDNEY, Neb.—A 15-month-old Nebraska boy has died at a Colorado hospital, and authorities suspect foul play.
Emergency personnel responded to a medical emergency at a Dix mobile home Tuesday morning. They found the boy unresponsive in respiratory arrest. He was airlifted to Denver Children’s Hospital.
The boy was taken off life support Thursday afternoon after doctors said attempts to revive him were futile.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
The Kimball County Sheriff’s Office says a person of interest has been interviewed. No arrests have been made, and the boy’s name hasn’t been released.
Dix is in the southwest part of Nebraska’s Panhandle.
