Steve Schrader of the Detroit Free Press wrote recently that his favorite Ryder Cup name is Boo Weekley because “it sounds like a Lions fan.” But for a while Sunday, Lions fans had something to cheer about. Their team actually held a 10-0 lead over Minnehaha before rallying to lose, 16-20, and edge ever closer to achieving the NFL’s first 0-16 season. And don’t forget that Lions coach Rod Marinelli recently said he believes in “the invisible,” which might indicate he’s determined to keep the team’s win column, to borrow a word, “invisible.” Denver Post wire services
