LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska offensive coordinator Shawn Watson has glowing words for Clemson’s defense as the Cornhuskers prepare to take on the Tigers.
Watson says the Tigers’ defense is “really good,” including two great safeties.
Clemson’s defense ranks 17th in the nation in total defense, allowing 295 yard per game, and 10th in the nation in scoring defense, surrendering just 16.6 points per game.
Watson says his players are hungry to play in the Jan. 1 Gator Bowl. The Huskers practiced Thursday, and Watson says the energy level is high.
The team returns to the practice field Friday.
