Visit Denver, the city’s convention and visitors bureau, said Thursday it will induct four city leaders into its Tourism Hall of Fame in March.
The 2009 inductees are Elbra Wedgeworth, former councilwoman and president/chairwoman of the 2008 Convention Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention; Dana Crawford, longtime Denver developer and preservationist; Denver hotelier John Schafer; and, posthumously, legendary Denver Mayor Robert Speer.
The induction in March will be a fundraiser for the Visit Denver Foundation, which gives scholarships.
