Broncos coach Mike Shanahan reiterated Friday that cornerback Champ Bailey, who has missed the past six games with a groin injury, won’t decide if he will play at the Carolina Panthers until after Sunday’s pregame drills.

“He’ll (decide) before the game,” Shanahan said after Bailey participated in a full practice. “We don’t practice tomorrow. He’ll go out there early, along with a couple other people, and see how they feel.”

Shanahan was referring to wide receiver Brandon Stokely (foot), linebacker D.J. Williams (knee), running back Selvin Young (groin) and fullback/linebacker Spencer Larsen (groin).

Bailey declined comment Friday.

“It’s not a pain issue (with Bailey), it’s just if it’s loose enough to be able to play, to be able to go full speed,” Shanahan said. “He’ll have a chance to test it pregame.”
