Getting your player ready...
LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska football coach Bo Pelini says he’s pleased with the team’s focus as the Cornhuskers prepare for the Gator Bowl.
On Saturday, the Huskers (8-4) finished their first week of practice for the New Year’s Day game against the Clemson Tigers (7-5) in Jacksonville, Fla.
Pelini says some coaches expect a team’s work ethic to slip in the three weeks leading up to a bowl game, but that hasn’t happened at Nebraska. Rather, the players have put in a solid effort in practice.
Pelini says the team has improved in recent days, but a few things still need to be fixed.
The Huskers return to the practice field on Monday.
