Hawking beer got Allan Hale into the Hall of Fame. The longtime Lambeau Field beer man is the 11th member of Green Bay Packers Fan Hall of Fame. Hale received the honor, voted on by fans, Friday in the midst of his 46th season selling beer at the stadium. He was nominated by a friend who often sits in section 119 where the 70-year-old Hale has worked since 1963. Hale said he became a beer man by accident, looking for a ticket to a game in 1963 when he was approached by a vendor. The retired plumber said he made $8.05 the first game and hasn’t stopped selling the suds since. The Associated Press
