A man found early this morning in an Aurora home with a gunshot wound in the torso later was pronounced dead, authorities say.

The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of family members, said Shannon Lucy, Aurora police spokeswoman. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police were called to a home on the 15500 block of East 13th Avenue at 1:40 a.m., Lucy said.

Detectives from the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit are investigating, Lucy said.

No motive for the shooting has been established, nor have any suspects been determined, Lucy said. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and examining the crime scene, she said.
