Huwa leads the way for the Vikings:

The Class 3A Valley Vikings boys basketball team was down 45-33 heading into the fourth quarter of Friday night’s Northeastern Junior College Tournament in Sterling against 5A Boulder. During the final eight minutes, the Vikings outscored the Panthers 20-2 and advanced to Saturday’s title game against Patriot League rival Platte Valley with a 53-47 win. Senior Jarrod Huwa had a game-high 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting for Valley, which currently sits No. 3 in The Denver Post/9News poll. Paul Lind chipped in with 10 points and Ben Dellenbach had seven for the Vikings. Chase Graves had 23 points off the bench to lead the Panthers.
