CHARLOTTE, N.C. — So much for the fullback position.
The Broncos deactivated both Spencer Larsen, who has been bothered by a groin and hip pain, and veteran Andrew Pinnock for the game Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
The Broncos did dress outside linebacker D.J. Williams for the first time since the Miami game on Nov. 2. However, the Broncos are going another week without cornerback Champ Bailey and safety Marlon McCree. Bailey will miss his seventh consecutive game with a groin injury and McCree is to miss his sixth game with a high ankle sprain.
Returning to play was running back Selvin Young, who had essentially missed the previous eight games with a groin injury.
The Broncos did not announce a starting tailback, but Young, Tatum Bell and P.J. Pope were going to be used.
Also inactive were receiver Chad Jackson, defensive end Tim Crowder and guard Pat Murray.
