Mark on the ground, in the air
Warrick Dunn: The Tampa Bay running back became the sixth player in NFL history to reach 10,000 career rushing yards and 500 receptions, in a Sunday game against his former Atlanta team. Dunn caught a 9-yard pass from quarterback Brian Griese to get his 500th catch. San Diego’s LaDainian Tomlinson is the only other active player with 10,000 yards rushing and 500 catches.
Chiefs “D”: Kansas City sacked Chargers’ QB Philip Rivers three times, pushing the Chiefs’ season total to a league-low nine sacks. The Chiefs need five in their last two games to avoid tying the NFL record for fewest in a season. The Chargers have given up five of KC’s nine sacks.
