Registration for The North Face Masters of Snowboarding (TNF Masters) 2009 big-mountain competition tour is open. The three-event tour — opening Jan. 29 at Snowbird and stopping at Crested Butte on Feb. 12-15 — features a $45,000 purse and serves as a qualifier for the Freeride World Tour.

First Descents, an adventure sports camp for young adults with cancer, is offering a Vail ski day with camp founder and Cosmopolitan magazine’s 2008 most eligible bachelor Brad Ludden to the person who donates the most to the charity during the holiday donation drive, which ends Sunday.
Former U.S. Ski Team member Mike Friedberg and reality television star Ryan Sutter also are included in the “Bachelor Ski Day” package.
